Marie Franco Barnes has defended clients charged with DUI’s, assault, battery, domestic violence, drug cases, identity theft, and sex offenses. She received her Juris Doctor degree from Thomas Cooley Law School in Lansing Michigan and a bachelor’s degree in both Political Science and Psychology from Sonoma State University.
Marie was employed at The Cardoza Law Firm after graduating from law school, and upon becoming an attorney worked on various felony and misdemeanor cases there. Prior to graduating from law school Marie was a certified law clerk in the Alameda District Attorney’s Office and prosecuted cases in the Misdemeanor Division and the Felony Narcotics Division.
Marie was born in San Francisco to a Nicaraguan immigrant family and is fluent in Spanish.
